What cadence senzor?
-
Hi, I want to buy a bike cadence sensor. Should I go to buy the original Suunto, or prefer the Garmin Bike Cadence Sensor 2? Do you have experience with them? Speed measurement I want via GPS.
Thanks all -
@Durri why do you want speed via GPS?
-
@zvonejan Because so far I have been using the Polar V800 + HR belt (on my bike) and I was happy. I see no reason to buy a speed sensor.

Thanks allI’m using chinese Magene sensor. Works good.

@Durri I am using Bontrager Duotrap BT cadence/speed sensor (Trek road bike) and no problem with it at all, also used Garmin ANT+ version, it was also good.
As far as I know you can’t use only cadence and not speed sensor if it is a combo…
I tried only cadence sensor, but it’s not working on S9B… -
You can use seperate cadence sensors only.
However, you can only pair ONE BIKE pod.
That means that the bike pod can be:
- Cadence
- Speed
- Both
So if you buy 2 seperate bike pods, eg one for cadence and one for speed then that is a problem
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I plan to buy only a separate cadence sensor, there should not be a problem.
-
@Durri that is what I do. I use the wahoo cadence sensor with no problems. The great thing if you are a multibike user is that that sensor can be clipped on the shoe.
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos tip how? Watch asks to calibrate speed sensor…even if the sensor is only for cadence…
-
@nseslija I just press next or back there
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos i think that I tried that… I’ll try again…
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Nope, mine (no name) just doesn’t work…
-
@nseslija hmmm so if you spin the sensor it doesnt get the cadence ?
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Right… cadence 0…
