Can the Spartan Sport Wrist HR be turned off?

I’m new to Suunto and I thought things like being able to turn the watch off would be a given but it appears not! I only wear the watch when I’m exercising as it’s not appropriate for my job. Is there some way to switch it off when not in use? It appears not but I just thought I’d check in case.
Any advice appreciated. Thank you. -
Not sure about the Spartans, but the S9 cannot be turned off. So what I do with mine when I want to store it because I don’t want to use it is to disable 24h heart rate and sleep tracking, put it in airplane mode, and store it in the box with my other sport electronic gadget. Sitting there, it gets in its own sleeping mode, and the battery lasts forever (like it consumes 1% a day), so it’s ready for me when I need it again.

Spartans can’t be turned off, as S series and maybe ambit too (not 100% sure)
The only way to turn it off is to reset it to factory and set the “deep sleep” mode … and it’s not really practical
