@isazi
you mean custom activity?
I don’t record gym workouts frequently… on Sunday I did… but more because of testing the OHR once again.Let’s hope Suunto gives us more customization on the sport modes. I don’t go paddling in the lake so often… and for surfing (let’s call it surfing when I try to catch some green and immediately end up in the washingmachine ) I never use my watch. It is a minor issue for me… but I don’t know how swimmers handle this? Do they get the result:
1’000m distance swim while 500m swim-ascent? -
@TELE-HO yeah meant custom activity. Would be really nice being able to customize also default activities, but custom activities are already a very good workaround (they’re more than a workaround, but a workaround for this specific issue).
-
@isazi
this means for synced 3rd parties that I need to change the activity there manually?
I think I’ll give this a try, thank you -
@TELE-HO customisation begins with a base activity, and the type is derived from that. I made only one customised activity for indoor climbing and Strava and QS both see it as climbing.
-
@isazi
just looked into it and of course I have all my sport modes customized. Or did I get it wrong now?
I have selected the screens I want and the datafields as I want… that’s what you mean by custom activity?
Because the only fields I have for e.g. SUP are: distance, duration, avg speed, speed, max speed… but after the activity it shows ascent in meters and the comment HR reading was not optimal (I’ve put the watch over my wetsuit…)
And for gym workouts I use the customized activity cross fit with PTE, duration, avg HR, HR and % of max HR
…I think I miss something here… thanks for your help! -
@TELE-HO using MC or SA? I’m not sure if there’s a difference. I just used this trick for indoor climbing and other people found it was working for them too. There are one or two other threads about it.
-
@isazi
yes, I know, I saw them recently.
strange…
I’m using only SA (in combo with QS) -
@TELE-HO now that I think about it, I also use the standard “strength” and “yoga” activities and they also don’t register any distance nor ascent/descent.
-
@isazi
then it seems there’s room for improvement… not all outdoor activities require GPS and/or altitude -
@isazi
I just noticed that Suunto has no problems with this as SA does not show an ascent value for e.g. SUP…
and SA has no annual total ascent or something like that… since I mainly check my activities in QS, this issue comes to the surface. I have now manually corrected it in QS… so to say reasonable cheating for good. -
@TELE-HO went to QS to check. I have no distance and no ascent/descent for yoga and strength activities, and the same for my indoor climbing custom activity. Also no ascent/descent for openwater swimming (but of course distance).

add the possibility of creating specific training(intervalls running mode)
i.e. 2x (200-300-400-500)…. 2x(3x300-2x400)
sorry if this topic has already been asked -
@Maxime-Raemy
search the forum for “structured intervalls” and do not get scared…
hope never dies -
@TELE-HO sad that this option was not renewed…

Hi guys, do you think that Suunto will release any other significant update for our S9B?

No

@TELE-HO no it’s wrong. “Hope dies at the end”
-
@Michał-Rudzki Close - it’s Wong: John Dies At The End.
-
@tomahawk5000 Honestly, no. Major work with S9 it’s done. Some of hope with Suunto Plus fade away day after day.
For S7, some developing will occur, yes.
And then new models.
