Pros/Cons of Suunto 9 BARO * ONLY * be fair and polite!

@Saketo-Nemo I have also done that. I’m thinking about doing a hard reset to see if that solves the issue. I feel like I have covered everything and I see nothing online that indicates this is a common problem. I want to wear the watch while training and also in daily non-training use, so it’s important for me to be able to see the time. Sport modes are very visible outdoors, so that is not a problem, fortunately.

Forgive me if I insist, but I want to be sure there is no misunderstanding due to English.
I understand that you see it well during the sport. My advice was to turn the light on in standby mode in clock mode.
The specific because it seems to me impossible not to see the time with the backlight activated
Did I express myself well? -
@Saketo-Nemo Yes, I understood your English well. Thank you for the advice!
-
mmm…ok, I’m sorry it’s not served

@Kristen-Maria
could you please upload a foto (without flash in your usual ambient) to show the community how it looks?
maybe a close one and from usual view on the watch distance? -
@TELE-HO
It looks a lot brighter in the photo. I’ve played with it a little bit and certain colors look brighter than other colors on the watch faces.

@Kristen-Maria
does somebody know the screen technologie s9 vs fenix?
I’ve had a fenix 3 couple of years back and never had an issue reading the display in lowlight -
Just for the sake of chatting … I’ve set backlight to 30
Of course not an S9, maybe it’s different. -
@Kristen-Maria I have found gold and green colors are easiest to see, the others appear much dimmer to me. I have my backlight at 30% and turn on standby only in winter.
-
@Brad_Olwin
s9 seems to have a completely different screen technology than fenix 3…
I never used backlight… only in the dark -
I wear two watches, one is S9b another is a normal automatic watch, I never use s9 for time.
I have to move several time my wrist to find a best view on s9 time mode. it’s not convenient during a business meeting or dating…

I am not happy with the height measurement of the barometer, this is usually far off even if I calibrate this each time at the beginning of a hike.
Therefore, I would like to know if there is an option to measure the height via GPS
-
@Jonas-Imholz You have a separate thread for this, can we keep one conversation and not two?
-
first short evening hike with my new S9B… so far, very nice watch!
the track is not too accurate but for slow activity like hiking acceptable… i’ll check all settings tonight… I only had time to setup the sport mode before the hike -
I understand those who wants 24/7 tracking and OHR but I would love to see the possibility to turn off step counting. At this point, only Garmin allows you to turn this completely off. It shouldn’t be too difficult.
-
@Torbjørn-Høstmark-Borge
why? it doesn’t consume noticeable battery -
after using my s9b for the first time the first thought I have is why is it not possible to toggle the use of satellite systems? I see you can select gps, gps+glonass and gps+galileo… it would be nice to use galileo alone or galileo+glonass
-
@TELE-HO i know, but a minor group (including me), are a little bit more prone to addictions than others. Reaching 40k steps each day is a killer. It really helps when you can turn that feature off.
-
@Torbjørn-Høstmark-Borge
then you better leave it switched on and face your addiction to overcome it -
