Description
Designed for performance-driven endurance athletes, marathon runners, triathletes, and cyclists who demand absolute data accuracy. Constructed with a premium stainless steel and polymer composite housing, the SUUNTO Smart Heart Rate Belt 2 (SHRM2) captures clear ECG signals directly from the chest. Whether pushing through high-intensity intervals, racing on the road, or cycling over rough terrain, it delivers lag-free, rock-solid accuracy far superior to wrist-based optical sensors.High-Resolution R-Peak Detection & ZoneSense
Optimization
Featuring an upgraded 2nd-generation sensor array with higher resolution R-peak detection, the SHRM2 captures subtle beat-to-beat intervals (HRV). This precise data feeds directly into SUUNTO’s proprietary ZoneSense
algorithm, offering real-time insights into your aerobic, threshold, and VO₂max stress zones during workouts.Torso-Based Running Form Dynamics
Eliminate the need for additional foot pods or waist sensors! When paired with compatible Suunto performance watches (such as Suunto Race, Vertical, and Run series), the belt provides comprehensive running biomechanics:Ground Contact Time (ms)
Vertical Oscillation (cm)
Flight Time (ms)
Left/Right Balance (%)
Cadence (rpm) & Step Count
Swimming Memory & Offline Storage
During swim workouts or periods of temporary signal loss, the sensor automatically records heart rate data to its onboard memory. Once back on land or reconnected, stored data seamlessly transfers to your Suunto watch, giving you a complete ZoneSense
and heart rate graph from the water.Multi-Device Connectivity & Zwift Integration
Equipped with Bluetooth 5.4, the SHRM2 supports up to 3 simultaneous Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connections. Broadcast your heart rate concurrently to your Suunto watch, bike computer, and virtual indoor training software like Zwift or gym equipment without signal drops.Button-Controlled Security & LED Status Light
Stay in control with a new built-in LED status light that alerts you to battery levels and connection states. Secure, button-controlled pairing and encrypted transmission prevent cross-talk and signal interference in crowded start lines.Ergonomic Anti-Slip Design & 30m Water Resistance
The soft, washable fabric chest strap features a silicone anti-slip grip to keep the belt securely in place during vigorous efforts. Enhanced signal shielding prevents static electrical noise caused by dry performance fabrics. Rated 30m (3ATM) water resistant for all weather and aquatic conditions.Chest strap sizing range: M/L: 74-125 cm

@Tami999
Heisst das das zone sense genauere Daten liefert mit diesem gurt?
Ich benütze momentan die suunto race 2 mit dem garmin hrm pro plus…
Bitte um Infos…danke -
@Tami999 wondering if it can do ecg readings for health / heart screening style measurements without workout enabled
-
@Tami999 yes - that is great news. Multiple connections and running dynamics is what I consider a worthy upgrade…

@Thaler-Martin we don’t know, he just copy pasted the text from the website.

Compatibility: The Suunto Smart Heart Rate Belt 2 is compatible with selected Suunto sports watches. Supported features vary by watch model.
Core features: Heart rate, RR intervals, memory, and ZoneSense are supported on Suunto 9 Peak Pro, Vertical, Vertical 2, Race, Race 2, Race S, Run, Run 2, and Ocean.
Running Form: Supported on Suunto Vertical 2, Race, Race 2, Race S, Run and Run 2. On selected models, Running Form requires a custom sport mode, Suunto Plus, or post-workout analysis.

@martintrail Hope the V1 will also get “Running Form”
-
@VoiGAS I doubt it. As with the new navigation features introduced in Q1 only Race S and newer got it. Neither Race (limited features), nor Vertical (no update at all, yet).
So, if the only mention Race S and newer, I think that’s it. I wonder however what they mean with “custom sport mode, Suunto Plus or post-workout analysis”, as latter could be done on any watch that gets data from the new HRM2…
