Reverting firmware
-
Hi all,
As I am experiencing random reboots on my Race 2 I’m thinking of reverting it to a previous version.
The point is that the only older version present on my watch is 2.48.16 firmware. If reverted to the older firmware, would it be possible to update to the version 2.53.42 or would the watch be updated to the latest firmare which 2.56.18 in next update. If this is the case, is there any option to choose the version in your future update.Thanks.

@Thorlap71 You can only change to the firmwares present in the watch.
If you downgrade the app will only suggest you the most recent version.
The only way to select a different version is by knowing the deep link to the sof file on Suunto’s servers (which I don’t have) -
@Egika Thanks for the answer. I have recieved an answer from Suunto support and they don’t recommend reverting it back to previous version, but just to do a soft reset and if problem persists to submit it for further inspection.

@Egika What do you think? How probable it is for this issue to be resolved in the next update. In my opinion there are quite a few bugs present, e.g. I have mobile notifications turned off but still receive them when my mobile is near.

@Thorlap71 have you followed the recommendation of resetting your watch?
It should definitely not reboot randomly. If this happens during exercise, maybe some S+ might be causing it.
I have no idea if the next FW update will change something for you.Regarding mobile notifications: You can now select in the watch to be notified in watch mode and during exercise independently. Maybe re-check your settings for both cases. It works for me.

@Egika Yes, I reset the watch manually yesterday. Reboots are not very frequent - once a 2 to 3 days. It has never happened during the exercise with two S+ on. Thanks, for the tip on independent mobile notifications as I have seen that mobile notifications during exercise were on.

Hello,
For me it was reboot 3-4 times a day since the new firmware. During exercise as well as during “normal” watch usage.
Right after the last reboot (during activity), I sent the log with the app.
I tried soft reset, with no luck.
I downgraded and no more reboot.
Regards
