Aerobic Decoupling
-
I’ve started using S+ AD a lot again recently. Unfortunately, it always shows 0% during training, and the same goes for the final and maximum values in SA. Is anyone else having the same problem (Suunto Race S + Polar H10)?
Thanks.
Edit: resetting the device to factory settings finally fixed the issue

Edit: it happened again, but when I tried using a different heart rate monitor, it started working again. For some reason, at this point I suspect the problem might be the H10 (which is now 9 years old or so).

Hello,
I have a question about the S+ aerobic decoupling. Suunto excludes the first 10 minutes and uses the following 10 minutes for calibration. During the run AD values ranged from 3% to 8%. At the end, the calculated AD was 16%. I’ve tried doing the
samecalculation myself and got the following results:entire interval:
Pw:Hr 8.49%
Pa:Hr 8.37%excluding the warm-up (10 minutes):
Pw:Hr 4.35%
Pa:Hr 4.45%Pa:Hr -> EF (Efficiency Factor) = average speed (m/s) / average heart rate (bpm)
Pw:Hr -> EF_power = average power (Watts) / average heart rate (bpm)% AD = (EF_1st_half − EF_2nd_half) / EF_1st_half × 100
In both cases AD is far from 16%. Some hint?
