      Hi!
Since latest firmware update for Vertical 1 (2.50.26/28, January 2026), I have noticed altimeter responsiveness is “poor” (in daily use, not during activity). I mean it takes several seconds or even minutes to update altitude values when elevation increase or decrease quickly. For instance, when I drive my car from valley to a mountain pass, it used to refresh altitude in real time (before latest firmware update) and I was able to follow elevation easily. Now, since latest firmware update, altitude takes a “long” time to update along the road and once I reach the pass, it takes several seconds or minutes (less than 5) to update the altitude value.

Has anyone here (Vertical 1 owners) noticed this behaviour?

I precise I don’t have any problem during activities (trail running, cycling, hiking), altitude is always OK and updates in real time.

I also read that Vertical2/Race2 Q1 firmware update (2.53.42) includes optimization for “more responsive altitude updates in daily use” which seems to match the point I raise.

Do you Vertical 2 owners confirm “more responsive altitude updates in daily use” since Q1 firmware update?

      Thanks a lot for feedback.
