Suunto Software update Q2 (2.56.18)

Staged update starting on July 14th, 2026

This update brings new features, improvements, and bug fixes.

New Features

• QR code pairing for faster and easier watch setup
• Ascent available as a new exercise target
• New offline map labels:
  • Road names
  • Water
  • Mountain peaks
• A new Tide widget
• Khmer language support
• New settings for managing offline map layers

Improvements

• Improved distance accuracy and GPS track quality
• Adjusted text sizing in the bottom “tooth” area for better readability
• Increased the maximum number of routes stored on the watch to 200
• Faster SuuntoPlus synchronization
• The heart rate broadcast setting is now remembered for each sport mode

I have Problems with the UPDATE

@GiPFELKiND just wait, it takes some time … .had the same (took nearly 15 minutes here)

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos just updated Race 2. had a little hickup during update process.
after first progress bar, watch went to “it’s taking a little longer than expected” screen. it stayed on this screen for few loops (like around 10). progress bar was filling up quickly to 100% (below 5s). so I figured it hit a boot loop… and did a soft reset by holding upper button and crown. watch restarted and resumed update from around 75%.
it’s now updated and booted up. hope it flashed correctly
