        Hi!

Topic title almost really says it all, and yes, I can see those differences, but would be really nice if anyone of you girls and guys, maybe even with all three watches can make some pics to see the size while wearing them on the wrist.
Battery life of my 9PP is not down to 2 days max, thinking about doing a battery change service, but also… hm… there are shiny newer watches. …as a recommendation to buy, or not to buy, so to speak.
And if you interns with Suunto, maybe shed some light if NOW would be a good time to buy or rather wait till end of year, when new watches MAY come?? Hint-hint… 😉
So, thanks, any pic for a 9PP with the Race S or a 9PP with a Race 2 wheel wearing would be great.
        All the best,
        Joerg
PS: No, i could not find anything good with the search here.

I’ve used 9 Peak Pro (give to my mom, she’s still uses it) moved to Vertical (finally maps!) moved later to Race 1 (I fall in love with amoled, much easier to read everything when early morning/evening when still dark. Less adventure, more sports watch. I was so happy with it, only it was a bit sluggish (at start, after updates it was pretty fast) and poor Optical Heart Rate (not always using chest strap). After 0,5 year Race 2 was announced and released. As a tech geek i sold it (like all my previous watches except 9PP) and bought Race 2 Titanium day one. Its basically Race 1 but very fast + I find out OHR very good, compared to my chest strap (from Suunto) and I sometimes dont use. Honestly I miss Race 1 Titanium design, they nailed it so much, Race 2 seems kinda plastic toy. I got pretty tiny wirsts but I felt better with Vertical/Race1/Race2 which is 49mm than 9PP which was 43mm i believe. If You like smaller watches I would not choose Race 1 S. Why? Well I think Race 2 S should be close to release, maybe this summer/autumn. THERE’S NO OFFICIAL INFO or any hint, its just my thinking. People often asking about smaller version. Take it as my guess. Race S was quite success, I think even more than regular Race. If You can try or just order + return, check Race2. Its very comfortable for me, and maps are so cool to read from it. I cant imagine having smaller screen now.

@Tami999 I talked to Suunto folks on my last trail run and it is said a successor to the Race S is coming. Aimed at September. Will be closer to the Race 3 that follows than to the current Race 2. With a new HR sensor again…

@Lazar-Dimitrov It always amazes me how small the footprint of the Race 2 is…

Hm the Race 2 is smaller than I thought. @lazar-dimitrov, can you do a side by side comparison?

@Łukasz-Szmigiel probably the best I could do:

                  DSCF2293.jpg

                  DSCF2295.jpg

In terms of weight (measured): Race 2 is 65g, 9 Peak Pro is 55g (Titanium versions for both)

                      @Lazar-Dimitrov Both watches look awesome.
With a nylon strap my V2 Ti drops under 60 grams.

In my eyes the 9PP is just a masterpiece in design. Hope there will be a follow up.

Suunto should build the Leica of endurance watches

                        Not the loudest watch.
                        Not the most overloaded one.
Not the one trying to be a smartwatch, a phone, a coach, and a dashboard all at once.

I think Suunto has an opportunity to build something different:
                        the Leica of endurance watches.

By that I mean a watch with a very clear identity:
focused, understated, reliable, professional, and built around doing a few important things exceptionally well.

A watch that feels calm in everyday use.
A watch that is always ready.
A watch that does not try to impress with noise, but with confidence.

In practical terms, that could mean:

                        • excellent battery life
                        • strong GPS and navigation
                        • clean route handling
                        • great readability in real outdoor conditions
                        • low-friction everyday usability
                        • long-term software support
                        • a more quiet, professional, tool-like product philosophy

What makes many great tools special is not that they do everything.
It is that they feel purposeful, dependable, and refined.

That is the kind of space I would love Suunto to own more deliberately.

In a market where many watches are becoming brighter, busier, and more alike, there is real value in a watch that feels more like a trusted instrument than a small entertainment device.

For me, that would be much more interesting than just another feature race.

Not a watch shouting for attention.
                        A watch with character.

That, to me, would feel very Suunto.
