Vertical heartrate

In the January 7th firmware update (20.50.26), the release notes for the Race mention improved heart rate accuracy. The Vertical received the same update, but this improvement is not listed in its release notes, despite both watches using the same heart rate sensor.
Was this improvement also implemented on the Vertical, or was it exclusive to the Race?
