Openwater swim style detection

Yesterday I did my first openwater swim with my Race S, while attending a race. It only recorded 17m of my 750m - fair enough I’m not a freestyle swimmer but doing breast stroke.
My question is about the style detection. It seems to be completely missing. Is this intentional?
