The charging cable for the Vertical is incredibly frustrating. It’s so sensitive to positioning that the slightest nudge cuts the power. I recently left it charging at 18% and came back an hour later to find it down to 16%. The watch showed the charging icon the entire time, but it was actively draining the battery instead of keeping a charge.

Has anyone found a workaround for this? Maybe a 3D-printed stand or dock that securely locks the charger in place?

@thailon This is exactly my experience.
        Solution? Just pray.

Take a good 5 to 8 hours to dedicate to charging the watch because any tiny touch of move in the watch and stops charging. Every time I check if is done I can disrupt the charge, etc.

Tip: In order to the strap reduce the pressure on the watch (due to strap’s curvature), I put the charge+watch on top of a pile of post-its and let the straps fall around.

Another annoying feature/bug/defect: Watch rarely charge up to 100%. Stays at 99%.

@jjorgemoura same here. the solution I found was to cut and stripped the wires so as to connect to vertical and attach them via electrical tape …

but I started decommission the watch lately since I am quite annoyed by the (quite many) nuances I am facing

            • Stays at 99%: the same for me, but restart & charge fix it, for me, at least
            • thinking about some 3D printed holder, high enough for strap to hang untight, something like on the picture but adapted

@thanasis could you share a photo of you solution please?

Assuming that your watch is currently paired with the app, if you’re worried that it may not be charging, you can always click the watch icon to see what percentage it’s at, even when on the charger.

Bonus (at least for Android users), you get a notification when the qatch reaches 100% charge! So you don’t even have to come and check on it.
