Suunto Ocean – HR Sensor not working in Running Mode after firmware update 2.51.28

Hi everyone,

I’ve been experiencing an issue with my Suunto Ocean (Model: DW223, Firmware: 2.51.28) since the latest update to version 2.51.

Problem: My paired Suunto Smart Sensor (HR) no longer works when I start a Running activity. The sensor shows up correctly in the paired devices list, but no heart rate data is captured or displayed during the run.

What I’ve already tried:

Factory reset of the watch (as suggested by Suunto support)
Re-pairing the Smart Sensor
The issue persists after all these steps

Has anyone else encountered this after the 2.51 update? Any workaround would be greatly appreciated while waiting for a fix.

@yassine-besbes If I remember correctly, the sensor indeed needs to be deleted from the watch and paired again.
This came with the change in sensor management.

Now I see that you have already tried to re-pair it. Have you deleted it before this?

And then have you enabled the sensor in the exercise settings under “Sensor Data”?
