[Vertical 2, 2.53.42] Exited (crashed?) activity!
-
I have the same experience—soft resets both during activities and outside of them. A hard reset didn’t help. I really like these watches, but unfortunately this is the worst possible issue for me, since I rely on them and they restart. I would honestly prefer if they didn’t work at all and I had to use a different watch.
How can I create a log for Suunto support?
-
This seems like a pattern considering that several people on this forum have experienced this. I really hope that Suunto dev team is on top of this - on top of all possible issues this one has the most severity!

@sky-runner Did you have the same problem with the previous FW? My R2 crashed same as yours but it was going strong for 3+ months with the previous FW.

The ongoing run activity ended and existed to the watch face earlier today. The initial part was saved and showed in Suunto App, but still I lost probably 10 minutes of the run until I noticed that the watch was no longer recording and started another run activity.
I’ve uploaded logs to Suunto.
Bad, that it chrashed.
Good, that you sent logs. Please also provide your SA user name and time and date you sent logs (PM). Then this makes a bug report.
Any user interactions when this happened?FYI: Just sending logs will not trigger anything as this function is open to everyone and you cannot know why someone sent logs.

@Egika I’ll send you a DM with details.

This the first time ever I had a crash like this. I’ve just started using Vertical 2 a couple of weeks ago (with the new FW from the start), but used Race S and Race for a year and half before.

Hi, something similar happened to me this morning. The screen froze after I pressed and held the “bottom button” to access the Control Panel, then Suunto Plus to activate live tracking, and suddenly poof! This happened twice. I had previously activated an activity tracker, and then the screen and watch froze again…
I’ve sent the logs to Suunto through the app to provide information about it. Egika, I’ll send you a private message with the details and delivery times. Cheers -
A similar issue has been reported on Reddit:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Suunto/s/ON5V0wTTNr with more that one user saying they had this issue. -
This happened to me this morning. I was using a default running activity with intervals. Everything was fine, then I looked down and I see the watch face. Activity had been recorded though.
I will look into submitting logs.
This is the second time this has happened though I didn’t bother reporting it, but now that it’s happened again, I’ve looked up the issue to see if others are experiencing it. And here I am

First time it happened was 7th March. Same activity type, default running activity with intervals. Activity recorded.
