HR broadcast to Wahoo not working?
-
I have a Vertical 2 with the latest update that includes HR Broadcast. I connected it to my Wahoo Elemnt Bolt v2. It gets correctly identified as an HR sensor by the Wahoo. However, BPM readings never appear on the device (remains N/A). Has anyone successfully connected to a Wahoo device? I tried this with the default Mountain Bike activity (no customization on the V2)

I think the HR transmission feature doesn’t work the same way here as it does on Garmin. On Garmin, you just select “Transmit HR” in the menu, and the activity is recorded on an external device; the watch functions solely as a heart rate sensor. With Suunto, HR transmission is linked to activity tracking, so its usefulness will be fairly limited—perhaps for a treadmill?

@UjcoCZ I’m talking about broadcast during an activity. Nothing got registered on my Wahoo when both the V2 and the Wahoo were in activity.
-
@gkaempfer I see. Why are you recording the same activity on two devices at the same time? Does Wahoo not send all metrics to the Suunto app, just like my Hammerhead?
-
@gkaempfer I confirm, same problem for me. Vertical 2 and Bolt 2.

@gkaempfer I just checked this on a Wahoo Ace. The Wahoo recognised the broadcast but when I started the activity it showed no HR.

@UjcoCZ I record on both devices. During biking, I navigate with the Wahoo (can’t use the V2 because the screen turns off). I would like to see my HR on the screen in front of me. Eventually I normally upload to Strava and delete the Wahoo recording. I don’t think I can send the Wahoo recording directly to Suunto and I probably won’t because it’s a backup in case something goes wrong with Suunto (never happened to me).

@gkaempfer Not working for me either with Roam v3. It pairs fine but HR is never shown on the Wahoo device. We need a fix, Suunto!
