      Hi all.
I had a run this morning which lasted around 1hr 20 minutes. The battery on my race 2 was 71% when I started and 61% at the end- does this sound about right? I guess I’m giving the battery a bit of a workout with my settings…I have AOD on and I was following a route on the watch. GPS is on performance mode. Brightness is on high and weather was sunny, so screen would be bright when activated with raise to wake. As the watch is new I’m still getting to know it so I’m using it frequently on the run, so activating the screen more than I would normally too.
Just wondering if 10% drain sounds about right. Cheers.

@shamilt1 I don’t have Race 2, so no idea if 10% is about right, but try this for yourself on the next run and see what difference it makes:

        AOD: OFF
        Dislplay Brightness: Low
Map Theme: High Contrast, or Dark

The watch has a ambient light intensity sensor under the display to auto adjust the brightness, so it will be perfectly legible even in direct sunlight when set to Low. You don’t have to compensate via settings.

@shamilt1 I have half maybe less than half (4-5%) for the same duration with AOD on but on Medium (the watch goes to LOW when you are not actively checking - if you see it doesn’t, there’s a small workaround to try setting AOD on-off-on before you start the run).
I am not checking the watch too often and I am not on navigation screen or if I navigate I do not use turn by turn, oh and I use external HR band.
My biggest battery drain is during night with the SpO2 on.

@Squirrel Thanks. I guess there are certain settings that will help get more out of the battery, but tbh I like the way it is set up now- just wondered if it was normal as 10% seemed quite a lot.

@EzioAuditore Thanks. The AOD looks to be working fine as the maps go to a black background when not wrist activated. I’ll see how it does on my next run.

@shamilt1 what does it say on the screen pre run, that seems high drain you’re getting.

I’m currently on 42% charge and it estimates 22hrs activity tracking….seems about right, I drop less than 10% doing a marathon.
