Recovery watch & App
-
@Kraisun-Tunta I agree with all the above.
BUT why do the values differ after sync? Which ones are the correct ones?
Like TSS values: the Training Stress is getting only from the watch, but the value in the app differs (even though I expected them as reading from the watch).
And not having the data pulled from the server to iPhone and ipad the same, that is a bit odd. I understand that those are just numbers (correct or not), but having 3 values for one parameter is crazy.
Already ordered another brand. Sorry Suunto.
PS: And it seems I am the only having this issue
-
@emkei So I am in the same boat where the watch is stuck on 66-67% recovery and the app 84%. Which one do you trust? I’d go with the app since now I am less training and the watch looks stuck on 66%

@EzioAuditore
I will ask the team. -
@freeheeler Appreciate it. Don’t know if helpful but I think this is due to the fact that Recovery is affected by HRV. And HRV is not synced back and forth between watch and app. And me that I switch between watches (or someone that resets it) looses the HRV on the watch. Plus the Race 2 for me has higher HRV (15+ms more than the Ocean) so it might contribute to that.
Of course for the past month my main driver is the Race2 and I find it odd that in the beginning it was in sync and somehow now it drifted and seems as stuck on 66-67. -
@EzioAuditore
yes the sync direction could be a reason and also using multiple watches.
I have reported something about this topic already -
@emkei is this app/watch discrepancy fixed after the past months?
-
@Fabii85 I still experience it. It’s only the recovery that is affected. At some point they align more at some it is more obvious with the watch being more ‘strict’. So I follow the watch suggestion and it aligns with how I feel.
-
@Fabii85 unfortunately not - moved to Garmin back. No sync issues, more reliable sleep tracking (time, feeling - taking notes in the morning, and comparing with data a week later). I miss the look of Race 2, and the UI. But having the data in sync was more demanding.
-
@emkei For me, sleep tracking is better on my Race 2 than on my 7X.

@Thaler-Martin I come from Garmin, and Amazfit too. At the moment, my Race 2 is on par with Amazfit considering sleep tracking, but slightly more in line with my feelings. Clearly, Suunto is better, for me, at tracking sleep time and HR. HRV is quite equal. The worst is Garmin for me, considering sleep time accuracy and sleep score. HRV interpretation is also worse on Garmin (it takes too much time to adapt to new baseline fluctuation caused by seasons and training load, giving wrong alert in HRV status).
Btw, I’m quite new with the Race 2, and have 2 nights to go before receiving HRV status.
