@OutdoorMan When we talk about €600 watches that don’t warn you about rain and snow when they have a feature called storm alerts, that’s a failure. When you stray from a route and it doesn’t warn you until you’re almost 100 metres away, the least they can do is allow you to set the distance at which you want to be warned… because maybe, after 100 metres, you can’t get back to that route in the mountains and you get lost, which could be fatal. These are obvious things that other older watches have (Garmin fénix 3x, for example). If you also tell me that these features have been requested several times and still haven’t been implemented… I’m even more concerned. Thank you for your opinion.

@Néstor are you saying that every rain and/or snow is a storm? Or watch should be your meteorologist and alert on every chamge of weather?

None of these are flaws in my view. Some if it it is nice to have features, but def not flaws does not matter how much you paid for it.

You can pay 1000$ for Garmin and it still gives you horoscopes and imaginary numbers to measure everything.

@Néstor said in MAYOR FLAWS TO IMPROVE. URGENTLY:

            • Save track for later (On multi-day tracks)
            • Track departure warning before 100m (when it warns you, it’s too late and sometimes you can’t get back on track due to the terrain)
            • Storm alert can be adjusted if it warns of changes of 4 paH or less (it snowed and rained on me and the watch didn’t alert me to anything (and yes, I have it activated😉))

Yes these are improvements which would be great to have. Especially the 100m which always manages to annoy me on the trails! And yes the storm alarm is utterly useless, the storms appear but the alert doesn’t… it needs to be modified or improved!

Well, the biggest flaws are not fixing bugs for years and removing features that worked well.

@Néstor it’s also there as far as I can see.

@aiv4r Have you ever had a Garmin? I had the Garmin fénix 3 that came out in 2015, and it let you adjust the sensitivity of the storm alarm. So if you compare a 2015 model and a 2026 model like the Suunto Race 2, I suppose they should have improved the features.

If there is a drop in pressure, it should warn me about it (whether it’s big or small, I should be able to adjust it as I could in 2015), not just watch it literally snow and not warn me about anything.

By this I mean that although I like the Suunto watch in general, these are features that have had time to improve and have not done so… Why? They should listen more to customers in order to improve their products and be able to compete with the competition.

@Néstor yes I had a Garmin, twice actually, would not recommend that to my enemy.
On the other hand I do not disagree that it could be adjustable, that would probably be nice for those who use it.
All I am saying that it is not a flaw, it is a nice to have feature.

@Néstor These things have been mentioned many times on the forum, along with the valid reasons why things are as they are now.
