Map ruler: is it possible to display absolute altitude of a point?
-
Is there a way to make the ruler in map mode display the absolute altitude (elevation) of the selected point, and not only the horizontal distance from my current position?
I have Suunto Vertical 2.
Thanks!

@northman57
I don’t think so.
It would mean that maps also have altitude values in parallel and it is a totally other kind of data. -
Workaround (if possible to be implemented) would be to have some labels of certain contour lines. That would be a great improvement IMO 🤩

@SergioB Perhaps not in watch map because of the size of it, but I’d be happy to see the labels in SA route editor or in the Routeplanner map.
-
@BrunoH in Suunto App route editor I can already see the labels on some contour lines
-
@SergioB I checked and you’re right, but you have to really zoom in close for the labels to appear. And I think they are only shown in 50m intervals. Nothing in between.

@BrunoH Same to me. Visualization of labels could be improved, let’s hope for the future
