Displaying solar complications on a watch face

I’m new to the Vertical, having recently taken advantage of the 2025 Black Friday pricing.

I wonder if there is a list somewhere of watch faces that allow the assigning of a solar complication in the watch face settings menu?

I’ve only found two watch faces so far, with most not having that option on any of their complications. I know I can download and experiment but it would save a lot of aggravation if others could share what they have learned while using the Vertical.

Are there more than just two? Which?

What I learned from using Vertical Solar is that I was also curious at first about what solar power could do for battery life. However, I realised that it had very little effect. So my curiosity soon waned.

I’m still in my curious phase. When your Vertical was new and you were exploring the solar capabilities, did you find any watch faces that had complications that showed solar charging taking place?

What were they?

Where I live it makes a substantial difference. I can go out on a run for 2h and have no change in battery charge so essentially while GPS is running the watch maintains its battery. I saw significant gains as well with multi-day fastpack trips.

For those interested in seeing that the solar collector on your Vertical Solar is working when you are out and about, I’ve created a list of watch faces that can display Solar icons.

I’ve looked through most of the watch faces from the Suunto Plus Store. What I’ve found is that the watch faces on the following list have the capability of displaying a Solar complication on the face. These complications are always those that are of the larger round variety of complication and not the smaller rectangular style.

Of these, only the Vertical can show a graph of the sunlight harvested.
