Auto Lap 1km after pressing the lap button
-
Hello,
As a recent owner of a Suunto Race 2 after using several Garmin watches, I’m wondering about one specific point:During long interval sessions (several kilometers), I’d like to know the pace (or simply the duration, which is exactly the same) of the last kilometer covered — meaning from the beginning of the lap, either by manually pressing the lap button or through the programmed steps in a workout guide.
For example, during a 3×2 km session, I can’t see my pace for the first kilometer of each of the three sets, and ultimately the same goes for the second kilometer. At best, I can display the average pace of the current lap, but I find that unsatisfying. Even worse, if “1 km auto lap” is activated, the interval session gets “polluted” by pace/time values that refer to the distance since the start of the activity, not since pressing the lap button.
In short, I’d like to set up something equivalent to Garmin’s “1 km auto lap” function.
I’d be surprised if I were the only one facing this issue! Thanks in advance for any help!

@Julien-Llr have you checked the “Last km” S+ app?

@Egika this app is great and working even better than Garmin because it is the last km, not the pace of the last 1km auto-lap…

@Egika Thanks for your quick reply. But this S+ app doesn’t take the lap button press into account, and therefore doesn’t show the duration of the last kilometer after pressing the lap button / starting an interval with a guide.
I want something simple: to be able to press the lap button / start an interval, and then get a notification from the watch 1 km later telling me how long it took to run that kilometer!
I love the watch, I really wanted to leave the Garmin ecosystem, but this missing feature (which is incomprehensible to me) is going to force me to go back.
