Software Update 2.48.16 (2025 November Rain release)

First run after update this morning with SRs : even if smartsensor was still appaired, and detected in start screen of exercice, obviously ohr was used when I started the exercice (very high values). I unpaired it, appaired it again, and start exercise => then ok .
-
I would really appreciate it if someone could expand a bit on the things that were added in the last update and if possible with pictures
I am in a period where I am less physically active but I am still interested - I would also like pictures if anyone can
Thank you -
Sadly no morning report after yesterdays update.

I slept 8:12, and wanted to check new summary, but no report. I went to ,Sleep" widget to force summary but it wont show up sadly… I’ll check if tommorow will work. -

On reddit there was a change log including also “flashlight setting reminder in activity” (vertical 2). Any idea what this is?

You can try, if the flashlight is starting at the same setting where you exited it the last time.
The hint seems to indicate that it is currently implemented only during activity. -

@Stefan-Kersting There are not really fancy new features in this update, only the merge of the two software streams and bug fixes.
So I guess they focused on the bugs this time. But as it seems unfortunately with limited sucess
plus there is the GCT and vertical oscillation introduced. But maybe not fancy enough…

@Egika Is it a hardware limitations that this isn’t included in the update for older models?
Or is it just a marketing decision not to add new features to older models? -
I’m still seeing battery draining at about 0.5% per hour (without activities, 247 HRM, AOD, low brightness). This is quite terrible IMHO.
I have no BT devices at all except the app on Android. I read that disabling the app from running in the background on Iphone solved battery drain. I also noticed a new version 6.4.7 on Android.
I’m wondering if maybe the BT to the phone is the reason for drainage. Does 6.4.7 solve this issue?? -
@maszop i don’t know
-
@Gideon-Kaempfer like with every update, pls wait for a discharge/charge cycle before judging battery percentage… Thx!
-
@Egika OK. So when do you recommend I charge the watch? At 10%?

yes. between 20% and 10% will do.

Oh yes, exactly how it works.

Thanks! You mentioned on another thread that no need to stop activity to set flashlight on, just long press down button to activate control panel and set it from there. Thanks for that also, very handy! You also mentioned that you had managed flashlight to be second on the top of that control menu. How this can be done or can a language setting or something change the order? Because mine is many more clicks away from the top. This could be a nice next update if it would be at the very top. Because need for flashlight can come quickly, need to change e.g. Suunto plus applications, not that quick need
-
@SuuntoR that’s interesting. Which sport mode were you using?
For me first in the activity options is button lock and second is flashlight.
German language. -
@Egika For me (SV1, 2.48.16, German) flashlight is the 11. option.

It doesnt seem to matter which sport mode is on (running, hiking, even crosstraining) and its 10 clicks away for me (latest software, Finnish language, but also if English)…
