New OHR sensor design causing skin issues

You are suffering from contact dermatitis. If this hasn’t happened with your previous watch, there may be a different material in this one causing issues. You can try barrier cream as someone else suggested. Otherwise there is probably not much you can do

Had the same now and then. With all watches

Same here. I can loose strap so it moves on my hand all the time a bit but still marks on hand just like original poster here. Years passed and no any serious problems with my hand. I sometimes put my watch on right hand when go sleep, and next day left is like 90% recovered

No issue here. Outside of activitty i wear it loose. Never had marks like on your pictures. Even after activity when i have watch tight.
-
@Alex-Jurkiewicz @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I am leaving it to heal for now. Interesting is that it started just recently. Today I had the watch on on my right hand just for a 30 min exercise and I had red marks, and it was not tight. Starting to think that I have developed an allergy.

@OutdoorMan did your previouse watch was made out of different material type?
-
@OutdoorMan contact dermatitis is not an allergy. You can speak to your GP for more info, it’s reasonably common
-
@OutdoorMan Unfortunately the best thing to do to heal from contact dermatitis is to just stop wearing any wearables for a couple days until it heals.

Internet says: Contact dermatitis is an itchy rash caused by direct contact with a substance or an allergic reaction to it.

@strain Yes this is what I am doing. I just hope it won’t return straight away.

Maybe the permanent light from the LEDs bringing some irritation to the skin? Sometimes I think that the light shining 24/7 on it isn’t really a healthy situation. I wish Suunto give us the option to turn back to former 10-minute-readings.

@jschmidt at least during night it is not permanent, it measures in some time inteval, not sure how long. But does it really measure during day all time? I would really prefer measurement only every 5 or 10 minutes, in same way as apple watch does it.
