Custom Sports Modes disappearing after each firmware update
-
Is there a way to prevent custom sport modes from disappearing after every new software update? The last update was the fourth time this has happened, and I have to configure everything again each time.
-
Are you sure they have disappeared and not moved up in the list?
I have the SV1 (same FW than the SRS) and I never have lost any Custom Sports Mode with a FW update. -
@cosme.costa I’m sure they disappear. Sometimes all of them, sometimes some.
-
@cosme.costa I’d never lost any till the 2nd from last today then lost them all. On the last hotfix fight singer reason 2 stayed and 1 was lost. I only have three.
So it does seem random

@Audaxjoe Never has happened to me, fingers crossed that keeps in that way. Haven’t read any reports here lately here (I recall some complains in the early days of the SV and SR) nor in the Spanish forum.

that’s still happening … after any update (search for example in the 2025 Q3 thread) there are people complaining about the lost of personal settings and/or customized sport modes.
Let’s hope that a backup/restore feature will be implemented soon, since it’s quite annoying. -
It happened once on V1. Not fun at all.

@Highlands WE wait many years for saving custom sport modes in the app directly!

@gizmo two updates ago I lost everything like you. Last update (the hotfix) I only lost one custom sport mode. The later has been my typical experience with updates since I got the watch. What I have learned is to add a custom sport mode that I do not use such a stretching and make sure it is the least used. When I get the update that will be the one I lost.

I did that as well a couple of times.
Now I always have, not a least used custom mode, but a least used standard mode (not customized). And never had any more any mode deleted.
Coincidence? Marboutism? Nothing scientific for sure.
