SUUNTO VERTICAL does not sync with Iphone 17
-
@Florentin, this issue is related to Apple’s recent WiFi/BT chip. Many users are reporting connectivity problems with CarPlay, headphones, and other devices. The problem is expected to be fixed in iOS 26.1. For now, I have to turn off background sync in SuuntoApp, as constant unsuccessful syncing was draining both the watch and the phone.

@Florentin My Race pairs and syncs fine, my Ocean disconnects all the time. Both worked fine on the 15 iPhone. There is some weird combination between devices that does this. There are another reports of iPhones 17 on the net complaining about BT/WiFi issues.

@Florentin Same problem. iPhone 17 Pro Max Sync no possible. Yesterday Update to iOS 26.1 PB, but the same issue. On my iPad M4 with iOS 26.0 Sync works perfectly.

@Belial Same issue with iOS 26.1 Public Beta.
-
@ingoblum that doesn’t look good
What’s interesting, turning off the WiFi on the watch improved syncing. Activity is uploaded almost instantly but background sync-related battery draining persists. -
The issue is being investigated
-
@Florentin 26.0.1 released, so far so good. Sync is continuous and complete.
-
It still doesn’t work for me
-
@unocz after first joy, that things are working again, everything is as before. In other thread people were complaining about the similar problem - just after the update everything was working fine and then become worse
-
@Belial With iOS 26.0.1 I also have the same issue.

@Belial said in SUUNTO VERTICAL does not sync with Iphone 17:
I have the same problem. I’m unable to sync my Suunto Race 2 with my new iPhone Air running iOS 26.01. Sync has been sketchy, but now it has completely stopped working. My last activity is syncing until the progress circle reaches around 70% complete before failing and retrying. I have tried everything to solve the problem locally, even resetting my iPhone’s Network Settings, without success.
