Suunto Vertical 2 General Discussion
-
@Brad_Olwin Thanks a lot for the quick response!
-
The reserve algorithm should also be revised. It doesn’t look particularly realistic
️
-
@Kurt68 it will change a bit after a while and become more realistic.
-
@OutdoorMan are you sure? For me on race2 after 4 weeks it looks exactly the same. No change at all.
-
Quite funny to analyze the sleep analysis of Suunto.
This night, I dreamed a lot and I notice the hours just after each dream.
This morning I was very surprised to check the sleep analysis and to see that all dreaming periods have been well identified by the watch as REM.Other point, I don’t know why, but it seems that SV2 give me lower min HR at night that previously with SV1.

I have some weird numbers here. Minimal heart rate: 3 beats lower on SV1 than on SV2. I’ll post more data later. Need at least two or three night before I can draw any conclusions (but it doesn’t look good).

@helgonet12 for me the behaviour during the day is more realistic. But I am back on 99% every morning, which is not so realistic. Honestly I don’t really care, I know how I feel. My main concern is the battery drain…
-
@Kurt68 I have been reporting this since the beginning for Race 2 and Vertical 2, apparently for some people (me included) it does not work. I am always in the 90% range, no matter what
-
@isazi Yesterday, after 90min gravel ride, resources dropped down to 60% which seems quite reasonable to me.
-
@isazi Interesting, does it work different than in the “old” generation? Or did you have the same experience with Race 1? For me it is plausible on Race S most of the time
-
@isazi
The wake phase detection at night doesn’t work for me either. Last night, I got up to go to the bathroom and the watch didn’t record any wake phases.
-
@Josaiplu Man, it will be nice. Finally full offline watches.
-
This is not possible, right? Is there a correct updated manual out there? If not, can someone forward this? Thanks.
-
Just receive mine… damn this is the most comfortable suunto I ever wear
And it is lighter than my enduro 3 by few grams but I feel much more lighter as it is way thinner -
@Josaiplu Congrats on your purchase. How do the buttons feel? Solid like the ones of V1?
-
@Highlands thanks, they are less sturdy, moving a little bit laterally, feels solid but not like tank solid, the watch finish and quality is still impressive
-
@Kurt68 Same for me tonight
-
@isazi On my side I’m always at 99%

Hi. I’ve noticed phantom touches in the shower with the SV2 after gym activity (possibly sweat?), something I’d never noticed before on the RC 1. The screen went into settings and activated POWER SAVING mode.
I know I could leave it outside the shower, but I’m worried about the screens changing during swimming. Is there any activation involved? Has anyone experienced this? -
Hello again. What I’ve noticed is that on my (Vertical 2), when the morning briefing is enabled or available, the flashlight cannot be activated or any action given with a button. Once you’ve read or canceled the morning briefing, you can activate it.
You can even see that the flashlight is on after the briefing is completed or canceled. The morning briefing disables functions during this time.
