@isazi @Tomas5 well, I don’t like it design wise as well, to be honest. If silicone, then the ones with SUUNTO written on them were extremely comfortable. Just my opinion of course.

Daily HR does include exercice IMO.
But I think it is a 10min average.
That’s maybe what it reduces max HR

You can make a guess how many percent of Suunto users have never configured a single custom sport mode.

Do You have numbers? I’m curious about that🙂. My guess is 40% because I think, that Suunto buy more sporty people which customize the watch. Garmin could be opposite IMHO, there I’ll guess 60%.

@Brad_Olwin Why not include the activity in the daily heart rate? I find that strange. It could be identified with a specific colour or icon representing the type of activity.

@v.sacre That could be a good explanation.

A swimming activity with 50m intervals/recovery. Heart rate monitoring seems really consistent.
Swimming stroke detection (front crawl or breaststroke) also works

                    Good morning Ladies and Gentlemen,

i´d like to ask a question: In the manuals there is a difference between the race 2 and the vertical 2, concerning the battery-management during activities: the vertical 2 has a custom battery-management, the race 2 hasn´t it. Did anybody tried that? Could I activate the touchscreen on the mapscreen in the vertical 2? that would be very nice!

thanks a lot for your time and have a splendid weekend!

@SirMcKey The Vertical 2 does not have Custom battery mode, that is a wrong copy-paste from the Vertical 1 manual.

The reserve algorithm should also be revised. It doesn’t look particularly realistic 🤔🤷‍♂️

@Kurt68 it will change a bit after a while and become more realistic.

@OutdoorMan are you sure? For me on race2 after 4 weeks it looks exactly the same. No change at all.

Quite funny to analyze the sleep analysis of Suunto.
This night, I dreamed a lot and I notice the hours just after each dream.
This morning I was very surprised to check the sleep analysis and to see that all dreaming periods have been well identified by the watch as REM.

Other point, I don’t know why, but it seems that SV2 give me lower min HR at night that previously with SV1.

I have some weird numbers here. Minimal heart rate: 3 beats lower on SV1 than on SV2. I’ll post more data later. Need at least two or three night before I can draw any conclusions (but it doesn’t look good).

@helgonet12 for me the behaviour during the day is more realistic. But I am back on 99% every morning, which is not so realistic. Honestly I don’t really care, I know how I feel. My main concern is the battery drain…

@Kurt68 I have been reporting this since the beginning for Race 2 and Vertical 2, apparently for some people (me included) it does not work. I am always in the 90% range, no matter what 😕

@isazi Yesterday, after 90min gravel ride, resources dropped down to 60% which seems quite reasonable to me.

@isazi Interesting, does it work different than in the “old” generation? Or did you have the same experience with Race 1? For me it is plausible on Race S most of the time

@isazi 👍 The wake phase detection at night doesn’t work for me either. Last night, I got up to go to the bathroom and the watch didn’t record any wake phases.
