Solar no longer works

My suunto vertical no longer charges with solar, I noticed this a while back. To be honest I don’t really care as it’s a bit of a gimmick anyway. Just wondering if others solar failed too? Watch is bit over 2 years old. I tested It today after reset just out of curiosity and still no solar in direct blue sky.

@gone-troppo this happened to me, linked below. I sent my watch in under warranty and they replaced it with a new unit, which works fine now. Sadly, the one that broke was made in Finland and the replacement was made in China. Identical otherwise.
