@isazi @Hari-Seldon and that is the reason for my comment. There is the older sensor in the Race and Vertical, a newer sensor in the Race S, a different one in the Run and another new sensor in the Race 2…
My feeling with the Race S is that the sensor itself is very good, but the software struggles to make full use of the hardware. At times the HR is spot on, and sometimes it is way off…

Maybe one major update is the new magnetic charger. I imagine that it is better than current one.

@2b2bff Suunto is improving in the OHR department because this is something that still not works as good as other aspects (such as GPS accuracy)

@v.sacre you are correct, it is better than the current one (although, I charge my Vertical once every 2-3 weeks, so I do not really complain about the charger)

Still waiting for a Vertical S (with no AMOLED) or a 10PP with maps

@isazi I’m sure the new sensor is a good one with that many light sources. But I think if the software side cannot keep up with the good sensor, new hardware won’t be the rescue…

Looks fantastic but at $AU900, it’s too expensive for me - I wonder if they considered the Race S internals with the larger screen at a lower price point?
Also, it’s a bit disappointing that they didn’t include MP3 upload and playback.

@isazi it’s a beautiful watch! If I wouldn’t have my Race 1 I would definitely buy it. But I’m also relieved that my Race 1 doesn’t feel obsolete or I’m missing out on anything new. I think it’s a good sign and any new features and software updates will be supported for both models! Ideal case for existing and new Suunto race owners

How about the offline music feature, any info if this is coming to the Race 2 in later updates or in a general update also for Race S. Just wondering, as Run has it, and I guess Race 2 is gonna be the flagship device for now. Or is this just something which is only running with the Run software. Just curious what’s happening.

I like the design of this v2 very much ! Way more than V1 which was not my piece of cake.
Hardware (ohr…) is off course better, but no revolution imho for me as a user of SV and SRs.
Will not buy it but for sure it will be a best seller !

Any idea on the battery life with always on as you manage to test it since some week ? (As it now use this LTPO technology maybe it add some days when AOD is used) it’s one of the few things that made me prefer mips display

I was more asking regarding number of day it will last with AOD, Suunto say 18 days without AOD but nothing regarding AOD batery life
It seems SV2 could be amoled so wondering how much LTPO help improve this aspect. I just HATE raising my arm to see the time, heart rate, temp etc
