Raise to wake question
-
Is there an option somewhere in which the raise-to-wake feature could fully activate the watchface? I.e. for watchfaces with seconds - they disappear after a while and raise-to-wake only turns on the backlight, but doesn’t reactivate the seconds. They only appear after pressing a button.
When I checked on my wife’s Suunto Race S - the seconds do appear when raising the wrist to engage the display. -
@kriskus how necessary at the Vertical are to show the seconds?! At the MIPS DISPLAY you see all information
-
@kriskus I don’t think it’s possible. I also miss having the seconds visible all time on my vertical.

@GiPFELKiND How necessary is it for any watch to show the seconds? This was not my question however. Some of the watchfaces look strange without the seconds component and the rest of the time with an offset. Others have the ring with seconds which doesn’t show those seconds until the button is pressed. If there is a setting for backlight to be always on which consumes the battery very quickly, it would make perfect sense for the raise-to-wake to work just like in the AMOLED displays - show the seconds (or any other ‘continuous’ complication like e.g. HR) for a moment when the wrist is raised and then immediately hide them when the backlight goes away.
PS. Ironically, because of this behaviour the default Vertical watchface looks better on the AMOLED displays.

On the Athletic watch face seconds are always visible. Possible one or two others faces also.
