Suunto Athletics 7 loop strap
-
Hey,
I have this strap for several weeks now and it is really awesome since today.
Very confortable and watch is well secured on wrist compared to silicon straps.I have since today an issue with the small metallic end of the scratch part of the strap.
This metallic part has moved out the strap. Does anyone else had the same issue ? Could this go on SAV for a replacement ?

@v.sacre I got the frost grey one and since there are two sizes in the package (which is super nice) I gave the smaller one to my wife. This metal piece fell off her band as well, mine is still holding. Good to know I am no the only one.

@v.sacre happened to me too (orange athletics 7). Contacted service, received an athletic 2 in orange as replacement. Great service as usual (at least in my case)!

I have the same issue with my black one.
Got in contact with support and I am waiting for my replacement.
They tell me the black one is not available, although it is available in the Suunto online Shop.

Using the black one for the last.three weeks - and the metal piece is where it is supposed to be … as of now.
I like that strap, too. Although a little less comfortable than the Garmin strap I used for a few months before, but Suunto’s is a little thinner and not as flexible - which makes it slightly less comfortable as it seems - but gut gets dry faster, is from Suunto, has that great looking writing on it and looks good even for daily use - so it’s a total keeper -

I had the same problem with the white one. At first, I thought about contacting Suunto, but then decided to glue it myself.

Same for me, decided to use it without it - no problems, I just pay attention when taking it off and on.

never pulled the strap from there, it looks fancy but fragile …

Planning to get one as well, but I wonder how good it handles dirt? Guess the yellow and especially gray version gets dirty pretty fast?
-
@danyel imho it started to show signs of dirt quite early. It’s easy to clean and dries fast, but it doesn’t look as clean and new after one month of daily usage. I’d buy a black one if I’d buy now.

@Stefano-M64 at least for me the stress on this part happens when you open the strap and it hits the spring.

mine stops at the first velcro pad, maybe because I can pull the watch out very easily (L size)
