Hi, i have a question regarding the New suunto Ocean. I dive with 2 x 6L 300Bar sidemount tanks. Navigating the menu I have seen that for using transmitter and take advantage of all the functions you must select the tank size but in the preset it does a minimum of 7L tanks. Is there any way in which you can modify and manually enter your tank configuration?
      Thanks for your answers!

@David-Llado, there should have a scroll menu to select tank size, a first number from 1 to 30 to select litre and a second number from 0 to 9 for decilitre.

It would solve all issues, including new sizes.

@David-Llado Hi, I am using Ocean for a single tank, and it is great. However, I recently bought my first side-mount BCD and wanted to know how to use Ocean with a side mount. Do you set it on multi-gas or single gas? How is the second pod linked in single gas and/or multi-gas? I would appreciate your insight as an Ocean user. Thanks.

For sidemount configuration, you must select multiple gases in the Suunto Ocean. Whether you are using the same or different gases in both tanks, and regardless of having one or two PODs, you must manually select the active gas (using the upper button) every time you switch between them. This is necessary to ensure the algorithm calculates the correct NDL.

Suunto should consider adding an option for automatic gas switching. When enabled (necessary PODs assigned to all tanks), the computer could automatically determine the active gas based on real-time gas consumption, switching between gases as soon as it detects which one is being used.

When adding a new gas, you can assign a POD to it. However, after assigning PODs, be very careful not to link a POD to the wrong gas, as this will compromise your NDL calculation. Unfortunately, there is currently no way to rename PODs for easier identification.

@diogao13 Wow, this would be a great feature that would minimize the risks after a gas change.
Are there already Dive computers with automatic gas switching as a feature?

I really don’t know. I should have patented this suggestion first 🤣
