I installed it now. Wonderful
this is what we want…
super thanks -
I installed the 2.40.38 yesterday afternoon on my Race S Titanium and this night it had not tracked my sleep at all. It is the first time It happened since I have the watch (January). Am I only the only one?
The same for me.
Yesterday I updated the Race S and tonight it did not reconize the sleep.
Now I have just did a factory reset, hoping it can be useful.Devis

Looks like the watchfaces are there now
-
Please discuss watchfaces in separate topic https://forum.suunto.com/topic/12760/watchfaces-drop-2025-q1
Here better to have only issues/impressions about new FW

I’ll chime in on the distance to turn notification being too short for running, from experience today - if I didn’t know where I was going anyway, I’d have had to stop almost every time or look at the map, which is not what the little icon in the tooth in every watchface seems designed to do.
-
@Antonello85 Did not track my sleep neither…

Second navigation test, small hike.
I somehow don’t get how it has completely switch from « some full screen advices with indications, that needs to be slightly upgraded with shorter reminder », to « no more full indications (left/right…) and really short advice to turn ».
For me even by walk I find the new navigation almost unusable also because the small indication for turn is not very readableI would have rather had :
-full screen indication 100m before turning point (or less depending of sport or current speed), displayed x sec like before, that switches then to a small advice like designed now, until turn. This evolution of turn by turn is frustrating to me.
Even if I don’t use turn by turn a lot because maps are really efficient, It’s sometime convenient for key turns.
-
@Egika that looks almost like a Garmin, but more elegant…
-
@2b2bff
Suunto looks more classy. You can use it both daily with a suit and in the mountains with technical clothing. -
@Stoke80 thx for the info. I think I will hard reset my Race and start with a fresh firmware.
-
The whole thing about the navigation that really pisses me off :
Suunto Developpement team (most probably Product owner, marketing, etc), really sat down, and said “okay that navigation screen is flawed, lets put some time to make it better”
And then provided stuff that everyone unanimously agree as “sub par for no reason”, how come NOBODY ever tried it ? the issue with the short reminder is immediatly apparent to eveyone, in every basic sport condition under the sun, putting a good distance would have necessitated absolutely no additionnal effort…yet its so bad.Like, what the hell Suunto ? don’t you try your own devices ?

That sounds like a good plan. If that does not work, I suggest contacting support for a replacement

Just installed, works smoothly.
Just wondering, I can’t see the Shimano Suunto+ app in the new e-bill sports modes, only in the old cycling sport mode.
Am I missing something here?
-
@Frederick-Rochette For the record, same issue for me.
-
Does Suunto plan to fix the music playback control at all, or is this another bug that Suunto claims doesn’t exist?
It hasn’t been working properly for a very long time. It doesn’t work without constantly forcing the app to close. -
@maszop Yes ! This is so annoying ! I have to force close the app before any activity, its really a waste of time and energy
-
@babychai no, it seems that you’re right. I tried to modify one of my sport mode and it keeps defaulting to Custom. Even though the settings are the same as Performance.
@pavel-samokha seems like a bug. can you confirm this?
