Disappointed Android users
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos yes! I’ve just finished the survey about the app or mobile or watch…
But I want the beta ! -
I receive mail to Suunto Beta test group from Android.
But I dont find the way to install the app.
Help. -
Thanks for the gift
-
@mff73 Following the instructions worked for me:
You have to do these 3 things:
- Check that the email you have sent to us is the same that you login to Google Play. If not, email: beta@suunto.com
- Please accept the group invitation first by clicking below on the “Accept this invitation” button
- THEN go to https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.stt.android.suunto to get the beta app automatically via Google Play
-
@alberto-yoldi thanks. You were faster.
-
Will try. Yes…
-
Hold your horses with posting guys, I am about to go for a run. I will open the categories for Android chat and bugs etc in eta 2-3h.
Welcome
-
@Alberto-Yoldi ,
Acceptation for the group is long. Normal?or it should be instant ? -
No mail for me
-
@mff73 It was instant for me. But maybe we can just wait for the forum to be set up by @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos so we can all have a proper place to talk about this and clarify
-
App installed. 30 min trying to pair watch. Yet trying…
The app is exactly the sports-tracker app (remember, spartan watch is no paired yet) -
Ahhh, and thanks for joining me the beta!
-
@suzzlo forget all pairing. From watch and from the phone via Bluetooth and via the app.
Also uninstall movescount.
I will update the faq for Android soon and open the correct channels. Bare with me I have an interval session to complete. -

The app is exactly the sports-tracker app (remember, spartan watch is no paired yet)Btw it’s not exactly SportsTracker. However as seen in the faq it’s based on SportsTracker. The suunto app is built on top of that and of course stripped down the parts that do not apply in the suunto scope.
Suunto has acquired SportsTracker so yeah…
Important thing to state perhaps again and again is that in this phase of a very early beta (months to come ahead) we do need your feedback , good or bad, to set us to the correct way to build this app
So feel free to post anything negative or positive.
Feel free to express any concern as all will be heard as I hope we do show this already.I am no SUUNTO employee and I am here to transfer all the sentiment of users and make things right.
Thanks so much for this.

I have some feedback already, but I wait for the rigth categories to be setup. I also have some training to do and it will not be done by itself

Bugs and issues here:
https://forum.suunto.com/category/14/android-issues-bugs
For general feedback you can post here but make sure you mention android:
https://forum.suunto.com/category/2/suunto-app-questions-feedback
I wanted also to ask you:
Do you prefer to have an isolated section of feedback for Android or a generic for both platforms ?
-
I will try again tomorrow and if problem persist, I will create a bug report.
I think in this early stage, we need to isolate Android bug not to get crazy our iOS colleges.Best regards
-
Hi,
I am in Android test.
Not to much time yesterday to test, just to setup connexion.
Too much things to explore, waou
Too much different form Movescount app, waouAs @suzzlo said, i think it is better for bug to use an Android specific path, but maybe for features it is better to discuss in the same area as iOS.
Good luck to moderators to read all this new flow of testers that will rush here, and maybe don’t have read SuuntoApp iOS beginning of story.Have a good day, and let us test all of that stuff.
-
@dimitrios-kanellopoulos Good morning. For features I think we can discuss on a common forum, as I readed somewhere that both versions will be paired on features. For bugs, as mentioned by @Mff73 , maybe its worth to have an specific section.

Not sure if all registered android testers received the invitation already, atleast I haven’t seen any email yet?
Please help, very eager to get the testing started!
