Suunto Vertical and UK Grid References
-
Hello, I am looking for some advice: I believe the Vertical can provide a UK Grid reference. Can this be saved as a waypoint? Also, can you input a UK Grid Reference and navigate to it on the watch (i.e. without using a smartphone app)?
I am currently using a Fenix 8, and although it should be able to do this, it can’t. (UK Grids are 100-150m out). I need this feature for mountain rescue callouts, and I’m growing frustrated with Garmin’s inability to respond!

@Singinghound If you mean navigating in the sense of following streets and paths - no. Possibly Suunto might add this later as a feature…
Can’t answer you the rest of questions, though…

Yep.

99% sure it’s a nope, unless some vertical user can correct, the functionality should exist on the 9PP too and doesn’t.

Nope (as @The_77 suspects). No Suunto watch can do that since the Ambits, sadly.
(And even using the App will require you to convert the OS co-ordinates to decimal Lat/Lon yourself.)
