Suunto Race S Step Count Issue

The step count for today on the Race S device appears to display the total cumulative steps taken to date.

For example:

If you walked 1,000 steps daily from Monday to Sunday, the device shows 1,000 steps for each day from Monday to Saturday.

However, on Sunday (today), it displays 7,000 steps instead of 1,000 steps.

Please clarify whether this issue is due to a bug or a configuration setting.
The Race S software version is 2.39.44.

I have identified the cause of the issue.

The “race s” device resets the step count every midnight. The issue seems to occur when the power is turned off before midnight and turned back on in the morning.

When the device is powered on in the morning, the time is reset, and as a result, today’s step count is not processed correctly.

I have confirmed that this issue does not occur if the device is turned off after midnight and turned back on in the morning.

This issue appears to require a fix.
