Staged update starting on February 10th 2025 for Race S, Race and Vertical

This update brings improvements and bug fixes.
Improvements and bug fixes:

• Pool swim distance accuracy improved
• Daily HR and sleep tracking problems fixed
• Stability improvements and bug fixes
• One WiFi connection problem fixed

Not yet for Suunto 9 Peak Pro, still being tested

Unfortunately, I’m again seeing the Control Panel display issue that emerged at the December update. Although this time, a soft reset isn’t fixing the issue like before 🫤

Update successfully installed on both my SV and SRs.
No issue on both, wifi issue solved on my SRs (I had no issue on SV)
(I had no sleep neither OHR issues on both)
(@TrailEyes i dont have issue on control panel after update, but I had not before)

@TrailEyes I was also expecting a fix for this issue brought by December firmware update…
Maybe not as critical than OHR one but still deserve attention in my opinion.
Let’s hope 2025 Q1 update fix all the little bugs (control panel display, airplane mode, …) so we can enjoy a stable and pleasant user experience

Hey sorry to hear this again… that shouldnt be I dont install it, the menue carusell design is always Here… No thanks. And see your Control panel mistake here again after the long waiting update… twas the right choise not to Download it. Watch runs good with 2.37.48 @TrailEyes you know HOW to downgrade Back?;

I guess prioritizing OHR and Wi-Fi was the right choice.

What if, to fix the control panel glitch, the update would have been delayed for a couple of weeks ?
I can expect people to be unhappy and complaining about priorities

Just try to load another “quick select” widget, it should fix it

I have a question about the new swim algo. This new algo we replace the obligation to push with your hands at each pool lengh (before it was strongly recommended to pusch to count each lengh)?

Pretty confident that Suunto made the right prioritization decision choosing critical functionality over cosmetic issues that have a known workaround

@sartoric it is getting concerning how many bugs suunto has in their new firmwares. I mean last year it was the issue where the watch couldn’t even sync with the app. They keep releasing software with pretty major issues. I turned off auto update and downgraded my software to the one from two updates ago as the new ones also have a really ugly rolling UI. Less usable and uglier. They really need to up their QA. Because as of now their updates are creating more major issues than bugs they are solving. Luckily the vertical is fantastic and doesn’t need any updates. So I will most likely never update it again

@isazi Thanks for this information. I thought, wrongly, this hotfix will address every issues caused by December firmware update.
No problem for me to wait a little more as I understand a fix for the control panel display will come a bit later
