Define POi in the app
-
Hello
am I doing something wrong, looking for a peak on the small display of my phone in the APP and want to save it as a POI.
But the app can’t save the peak name or its altitude correctly and I have to tediously adjust it on my phone.
Is it Suunto’s intention to make life as difficult as possible, or is it just a problem with my Suunto app?
have a nice day

vincI think they specifically found your peak and made sure the metadata for it was incorrect.

@vinc14 good Morning i picked up a peak Here for example… You are right suunto App didnt show a high value… You have to write both (high and Name) manually…

Same here. On the first “click” on the map the name and elevation are shown correctly. But if I choose to save it as a POI both values are gone.
Looks like a bug in the App, not only for the Vertical. Maybe its better to move the topic?Edit: In my case its also on Android

@VoiGAS It seems that SuuntoApp does not have and does not use any terrain profile model. Or its implementation is very flawed. That is why you have such problems. It is similar with drawing routes.
A bit of a shame in this type of equipment. -
@maszop But it works on the first touch / click on the map. There the name and elevation is shown. Its just not transfered to the POI. Should be an easy fix

@VoiGAS It seems like it was designed so stupidly in SuuntoApp.

@maszop Yes, looks like. Hopefully this will be fixed in one of the next versions

Thats way i asked for
https://forum.suunto.com/topic/12403/file-with-waypoint-created-on-a-computer-and-upload-to-my-vertical?_=1737278615676
a file to upload - so i would manage the waypoint in a file
