Software update 2.39.20 (2024 Q4)

@Ecki-D Suunto does extensively beta test, if you read a few posts down you will find this issue was caused bt something else.

Hello.
I have a Vertical ti.
The sleep registered by the watch is correct, but the one mentionned in the Suunto app is not correct. It’s like the app only registered the sleep after my first wakeup (bathroom ;))
Is there a log I could send to someone ?
Regards,

@false proper qa tests where done extensively. There was another issue that caused this.
These two statements contradict each other.

@Nicola-Fontana Not sure what would cause your training data to get lost. So far it hasn’t been the case at all. Switching to a different brand because of a firmware glitch seems like a knee-jerk reaction to me. When a competitor has a bad release you’ll have to switch again. That’s just bad strategy. I could resolve all issues by downgrading the firmware and turning off automatic firmware updates. No data was lost on the way.

After the last update 2.39.20 my Peak Pro heart rate monitor stops working when I turn on sleep tracking. It starts working again if I turn the watch off and on again while sleep tracking is disabled. Looks like a bug.

Hi guys, coming out of a flight 3 days ago I saw that my watch had updated itself. Now, 3 days later I have experienced OHR issues every single night on my 9PP, a behavior that was happening with one of the previous updates a few months back (nearly a year to date).
Sorry if it had been mentioned I’m on my old phone and search function ain’t great.
Many users experience this? It’s unfortunately killing the sleep tracking function.
Cheers -
@MiniForklift
I also had issues with charging my Race S, as well as with sleep tracking and OHR, until I downgraded the OS. -
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos
What should someone do if their watch has not reverted to the previous version and the app is in an automatic update mode?
I’m trying to help a few friends. They’ve been waiting for 3 days and nothing’s happening.
I just updated them that this is the response given at the moment because of the holiday, but nothing is happening. Thanks for the reply and Happy Holidays. -
@Danny-poleg you can so a downgrade to previous Firmware. Write meea private Message for this.
-
If I understand correctly we shouldn’t perform a downgrade to a previous firmware but rather wait for a rollback. This was communicated a few days ago. Since there was no follow-up and the extensive battery consumption during activities is pissing me off a lot more than broken OHR / sleep tracking, I am doing the downgrade for now and wait to see what happens.

A little secret is that I provide technical support for Suunto watches in Israel and I know how to perform the procedure. I don’t want someone private to perform the procedure and potentially damage the warranty on the watch.
I have several customers who are still suffering from the problem.
Because of the New Year’s holiday, I rely on the forum for updates.
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos
Thank you, we will wait for Dimitrios to provide a detailed response with a version number. -
@SuuntoZec it’s known that the issue also affects some Race S devices and the fix is under development

@Etienne_72 sorry for late response - Christmas time and as I fixed my case I wasn’t tracking forum.
You go to Control Panel > Settings > General > About > go all way down and hold few seconds down button > secret menu pops up and you can select ‘Select OTA pkg’ I had three versions on my watch. Good luck!
