Dive planner

Thx @isazi, I am glad to hear! That’s really the main feature this Dive computer needs. Can’t wait to see it!
-
@isazi when is the Q4 update likely to land?
-
Dive planner arrived with Q4 release https://forum.suunto.com/topic/12184/suunto-ocean-sw-update-2-38-42-2024-q4/2

@pavel-samokha Yes, it’s nice. On the other hand, how do you plan your dive when using several gases? I have the impression that you can only plan with the use of a single active gas
-
@Redhat6 I think you input the gases you have and the dive planner tells you the depth to change from one to the other. At least thats what my Mares does, if I’m not mistaken (never used it so far)
-
The current NDL planner is very limited, with Suunto opting for the easy way out. It should allow users to plan consecutive dives using the watch or the app, and then transfer the data to the watch.
Considering that the Suunto Ocean is a recreational dive computer, having a good dive planner is essential.
Until we receive a better dive planner, I am using the free app “Diveplanner Tec & Rec” from the Play Store. Suunto could take inspiration from it.

This is unfortunately not the case: I tried to prepare a dive with 3 gases, it only offers me to plan with the active gas, it does not give me the depths and gas change times
-
@Redhat6 That doesn’t sound good and Unfortunatly the user manual of the Ocean is not updated to clarify it. Especially with multiple gases the planner would be useful… 🫤
Maybe the Ocean was released a little too early -
@VoiGAS Yes the product is still young. And I think that it is mainly intended for an audience who does recreational single-gas diving. Personally I use it as a backup to my dive computer

I need to use it more, but I suspect that the Suunto D5 dive planner is better than the Ocean dive planner, Suunto’s brand new dive computer.
