Software update 2.39.20 (2024 Q4)
-
@atoponce ok cool, let’s wait then. How can we flag this this, besides posting here? To ensure something is aware of the issue(s).
-
@Romain-Sassareu I’m sure Suunto is aware and working to get it resolved. There is also discussion on Reddit. Unfortunately, when this has happened in the past, it lasted like 5-6 hours.
-
@Romain-Sassareu same today for me

“New Christmas and New Year watch faces, along with a new green theme watch color”
What is the green theme watch color and how to set it up?
-
@Sturgis Green has just been added to the bottom of the colour selection list for the accent colour. You can use it with any watch face but it’s the default for the new xmas and new year faces

FYI in case anyone was wondering, the behaviour of DND within an activity hasn’t changed with the new firmware (I was hopeful…). If you set DND in the activity setup screen it turns off all notifications plus then doesn’t re-enable notifications at the end of the activity. Fingers crossed for the Q1 2025 firmware

Self explanatory is that it worked before, otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to update - and that’s what kinda drives me mad. Why won’t it work now?
I’m at a loss here guys. What to do?
Just to make sure: wifi is not used for firmware updates. They are transferred via BT…
Otherwise no idea. Mine is working well on various models. Flight mode etc is off? Can you add the wifi in the settings at all?

I have just successfully downloaded a map, no issues. Although one thing I have noticed was that the watch wasn’t charging when I plugged it in, thought that was odd. Tried it at a few different power points, none of them worked. Then after a couple of soft resets it decided it would start charging. Anyone came across this before?
-
Same for me. OHR didn’t work yesterday after the update, then after soft reset, it worked. Today again same issue.
It says “measuring” but green OHR lights is not showing. -
On my Race, sleep tracking only worked the first night after the update. Now 2 nights not. A reset has not helped.
-
Nope, this time the control panel didn’t get fixed by waiting. After the night it still looks like this. Notice that the bottom row (the one with the smallest font) is in focus and gets selected with the middle button.
Quite a lot of regression bugs with this sw.
-
@BrunoH Bad luck
Control panel displays correctly again on my watch, but I am pretty sure it will be broken if I restart the watch.
I hope Suunto is aware and working on this display bug.
I use bottom button shortcut to access the control panel, maybe it is related?
@BrunoH How do you access control panel on your watch -
@sebchastang The same for me; I have the lower button configured as shortcut. I need to adjust the morning wakeup alarm a few times a week so I really appreciate the shortcut.
I too hope for a correction, but unfortunately I have seen very few comments about this problem in the forum. I guess a cosmetic flaw doesn’t get as much attention as the OHR problem.

Actually, I’ve successfully uploaded an activity on SA more that 12[h] ago, but no sign of that activity on Strava yet.
-
@Egika Oh yeah right, sorry. WiFi is for maps. Anyhow, I’ve had no issues with downloading maps on the same WiFi before.
Yep, flight mode is off. And no power saving mode either. Discovery is on.
I can’t add the WiFi in the settings at all. I find the network, enter the password which I make sure is correct, it tries to connect and after some spinning it tells me that it can’t connect to the network and that a “reboot of the router might solve it”. Of course I’ve tried that and that unfortunately doesn’t work either.I really don’t know how to solve this…
-
One problem with the new carousel/zoom animation is that the already small fonts get even smaller for the non-active rows making people with less than perfect eyesight struggle. I much prefer the old way given the limited screen sizes of these watches.
-
@sracer I agree with you
