Software update 2.39.20 (2024 Q4)
-
As usual there is a video guide about changes from @Joaquin:
-
Sorry to be Grinchy, but it looks like a lot got messed up with the Control Panel. At first I thought it was just weird design with half of it remaining black during scroll, but while testing it, it looks like most of the functions no longer work, and clicking on one’s that do have an arrow indicating that they should work instead automatically engage the button lock
For example, I tried to use the flashlight and the button lock happened.

@TrailEyes maybe give your watch a soft reset and check if this persists
-
@TrailEyes Same here, also Vertical. BTW - the functions work, but the one highlighted is actually the one on the bottom, not the one in the middle. You can see it also in your video that the toggle on the bottom switches or it is actually the ‘lock button’ feature which is selected, not the flashlight.

I did not observed this issue on my Vertical TI solar. But I did not find that super dupper new fancy watchfaces.
-
@TrailEyes I‘m on SV Titan solar, and I didn’t notice this behavior…

@pavel-samokha My watch updated to 2.39.20? Not .22? I‘m on SV
-
@SuperFlo75 That’s what mine updated to as well (.20 not .22)
-
@SuperFlo75 Race here but also updated to 2.39.20 & NOT .22
-
@kriskus Oh thanks for spotting that! I’m colorblind, so unless I know to look for something more subtle like that, it doesn’t register with my eyes. So I hadn’t noticed that the one aligned at the middle button wasn’t the one that I’d be selecting.
I don’t like this approach at all.
(Edit: 2 soft resets may have gotten it back to normal) -

Sorry, you’re correct it’s .20, I updated the title
-
My first feeling is that the menu it’s a little bit lagish, but I will see in the next future how it will work…

your whole control panel scrolling is weird. mine goes up on the screen when scrolling down, so that the selected item actually is in the middle and the whole screen is used.
I don’t have the big black area staying in place like you -
@Egika just did my second soft reset, and it appears to be back to normal. 1 reset alone didn’t work 🫥
-
Still being prompted to manually calibrate compass after update but arm/watch haven’t done much ‘moving’ since.
Maybe it needs a lot of movement to work so will keep an eye on it. -
Compass has now self calibrated & is pointing north, superb
-
Does this update fix the iOS, needing to open the app to sync and find my phone?
-
Just installed but not tested yet. Event if related to “guides” => does this update brings any improvements in build in structured workouts ? (rep counter and bip to next step ?)
-
@Mattg576 Same here. Prompted to manually calibrate compass on Suunto Race.
