SW update 2.37.34 Q3
-
Unfortunately, my SR crashed today during OWS activity. Later on today I’ll sync my watch to the app and I’ll send logs and inform a moderator. Yesterday I installed the latest firmware.

@Anthony-Guillemette I need to ask again, the reason why it is not possible to pause from the screen is because the interface is the same for all watches, but it is not necessary for it to be, in the altitude profile it was fixed
At the very least, common sense tells us that the basic function of pressing the top button should be the same ON ALL SCREENS (and all watches): STOP/PAUSE the activity.
Not possible.
There are some S+ apps that are using the top button for S+ input. Like the Live Pacer and I think some of the scoring apps as well.
So “pause on top button in all screens” will not happen. The request to have it on the map screen in S9PP and Race has been made by testers already long time ago.

Excellent update, thank you!
Always On Display Delay
- When AOD is active, there is a longer delay between the “full” information display and the AOD display when tilting the hand away. In my opinion, this consumes more battery and is less comfortable in the dark.
- When AOD is deactivated, the time between the full information display and the screen turning off is faster when tilting the hand away.
-
@Jordi-C manual, I never use auto pause. Very strange. Which sport mode are you using?

Personalized trekkingCan I send you some logs to further investigate this issue?. If so, tell me how to do it…

Bonsoir, petite découverte ce soir rétroéclairage poigner désactivé, écran verrouillé et l’écran s’allume tout seul sous la douche

After the last update, the Suunto app app closes in the “My Suunto Plus watch faces” section of the Suunto app.
-
@logger I just did my first hilly run after the update, and the Climb Guidance is so much quicker to update now—it happens every few seconds, so you can actually follow your progress in real time. It would still be great to see the colored segments from the app on the main elevation screen (I’m sure that must be in the pipeline), but this is a great improvement!

S9PP user here…
prior to the last update a couple of months ago (2.35.34?) step count seemed to be pretty good - aligned with prior watch/Apple health/others using different watches.
Since 2.35 with ‘improvements’ to step count, my 9SPP signficantly undercounts, with 10-20k walks giving unplausibly low step counts. It was fine before the 2.35 update.
I’ve seen posts dismissing step count as something a serious ‘exerciser’ doesn’t care about, but this was something the watch did OK before, but no longer does.2.37 doesn’t seem to have fixed. What gives? Is this a recognised issue?

Not sure I have the right audience here - most who are bothered to come here are probably fitness watch ‘enthustiasts’ who don’t mind a bit of tinkering.
I just want my watch to act like a watch, and do the fitness stuff also.
This latest update resulted in my watch reverting to a v ugly watch face, with no obvious option to reselect my previous option in the way I did when I first set up the watch.
A bit of googling told me I now needed to use the App to select the watch face. This option wasn’t available from the App without an update and lots of re-sync attempts. This still feels flakey and not intuitive. Please have a thought for us luddites who aren’t invested in the tinkering amd just appreciate stability.

@thanasis 8 have the same issue, seems.like everything is stalled and now I have this old frigging watch face that I hate and can’t change on screen…
-
@Zdeněk-Hruška confirmed, thanks!! Strange that it needs to be fully restarted. Such a frustrating process to figure this out. Thanks for sharing!
-
@thanasis Same here, i tried some trick (restart, kill app), but still same. Suunto watch faces, Suunto plus apps and Suunto plus guides all not syncing with watch. I don’t mind the watch face, but the new structure interval (Suntoplus Guides) don’t sync to the watch.

Tested again today.
My SR shows the pop up asking to resume when walking, later than on previous firmware (after 20 to 30 secs), but at least it works.
My wife’s SR S, doesn’t works at all.
Please, watch this video:

Forgive me if this isn’t new behaviour in the latest firmware but I’ve only just noticed it
There’s a “do not disturb” toggle for activities now and I would have assumed it is activity specific so it turns on DND when you start the activity and returns to normal when you complete the activity. However, when playing with it I toggled on the option but then cancelled the activity (before starting it) and DND remained enabled on my watch. I disabled DND in the normal control panel and then found DND was untoggled in the activity settings. This suggests maybe that the DND toggle in the activity settings isn’t activity specific, maybe?

-
-
@Jordi-C probably it depends on your speed, light walk isn’t enough
-

Isn’t enough in this new firmware?, for sure it was working fine with “light walking” on previous releases.
