Wrong GPS point in the middle of the activity
-
Hello All,
I have a recent activity with 2 GPS points on completely false longitudes in the middle of my activity recording, which resulted in a 3999 km walk…
I can fix this error in the GPX file, but I don’t know how to re-upload the fixed GPX back to Suunto (so that it gets synchronized with Strava as well). This error screws up my stats…
Nevertheless, I don’t want to delete this activity, because this was epic one.I’m getting very disappointed with my Suunto watches… The previous one, Ambit 3 Peak worked quite well until the day of summitting Ortler, where the altimeter function went crazy, so basicaly the watch became completely useless exactly on the day when it was needed.
This newer Suunto 9 Baro with this current GPS issue which I never had before during my activities… disappointing. But now I’d like to have this error fixed, if possible. Is there any way to upload my fixed GPX file as new activity?
Best regards,
Peter

@pmichaletzky Export the fit file, correct it using this (https://www.fitfiletools.com) handy website, reimport it using Runanalzye or something of that ilk.
- Oh since you’ve fixed it, just use the Runanalzye uploader - make an account, connect to Suunto and find the upload button.

Hello @The_77 ,
Thanks a lot for your advice! I learned a lot about alternative tools for analyzing my activities, and I could also fix my problem.
Best regards,
