SUUNTO vertical depth meter
-
SUUNTO vertical is not for scuba divers and always in diving you must use only development dive computers…
But doing sport like spearfishing (and not scuba diving with tank pods etch …) i think a depth meter from -10 meter to max -30-40 meters its very useful…
In that sport you need only reverse time and meter below sea nothing else.SUUNTO Ocean provided a lot of underwater functions but its more oriented dive watch than adventure mountain sport watch.
I don’t know the 100water resistance meter have limitations in SV in a big a short dive at 30 meters.
Thank guys

@gerasimos
depth is measured by the baro sensor, that in the Vertical is not calibrated/“sensible” enough for underwater measurement below 10 meters afair -
@sartoric so its hardware limitation ! i dont think with an software update the calibration its possible for bigger depths
thanks man ! -
the funny thing is today with the launch of garmin fenix 8 have this function and the sensor for diving measures like ocean… but still garmin

@gerasimos If you want a sports/diving watch buy the Ocean. Battery is better than the Fenix 8 and dive functions are more sophisticated. I should also mention the cost is much less.

@Brad_Olwin thanks for info!
I have Cressi Neon diving watch for spearfishing it’s exactly everything you want without a lot of functionalities…very practical.
SUUNTO Ocean its great watch but I want to stay with SV ti
-I know that in one watch you can’t have everything… and also i read in fenix 8 its very basic dive functions and mainly with mic etc i don’t know if it’s safe and reliable for underwater… Not my taste
