Suunto Ocean OHR Accuracy
-
How are the Ocean owners finding OHR accuracy? Resting, day to day, running and cycling?
 -
@StuieD resting and cycling it’s perfect for me. I ocationally had peaks while resting with Race but the Ocean has been perfect. I don’t know about running cause I always run with HR belt
 -
@StuieD I purchased a 3rd party Velcro band and get good OHR results with this band but not the large silicone band.
 -
@Brad_Olwin thanks, did you find the sleep and day readings to be OK with large band? I am not too worried about activities as I wear a strap, but do not want erroneous readings during rest and sleep.

Hi!
I have my new Suunto Ocean but have not been able to dive with it yet.
At the moment, I am using it for other sports (gym, swimming, fitness, etc.).
I have noticed that I have to tighten the strap quite a bit and put it above the wrist bone, if I don’t do this, the readings are not accurate and the result is lower heart rates.
Is this normal?
If I don’t tighten it strongly, being above the wrist bone, it goes down by itself ^_^

@valentoni I would say that was pretty typical of all wrist OHR, it will always need to be snug or else light gets in causing inaccuracies, movement can also cause erroneous readings.

The best results are achieved “2 fingers” far from hand/wrist line.
