watch display will no longer 'sleep' or go dark at night
-
I didn’t change anything and now (as of 6 Aug 2024) the watch is ‘on’ all the time and it’s draining the battery. Any ideas?
- I have it on rise to wake but now it’s just ‘awake’ all the time.
- I have the brightness setting on low and standby toggled off.
My tones (Buttons off) stopped working the same day, but I toggled this on and off and it worked again.
With all the previous issues I’ve had, I’m starting to think I have a defective watch … or are this many bugs the norm?

@Mardee-Saxton
try soft reset first (or turn-off-on the watch).some clarification : do you mean your watch has some backlight “always on” when you are wearing your watch ? when wearing the watch, the screen is never off (if you are moving) but it must be without backlight if you don’t “rise to wake it up”.

@Mff73 Thanks for your response. I did the turn-off-on and nothing changed.
Nothing happens when I lift my arm (rise to wake). It used to get brighter.
And it doesn’t turn off/go dark when I’m in bed like it always used to.
Hope that makes sense.

@Mardee-Saxton and “backlight” is turned off in the control panel, right?

@isazi Thank you! It was on. Turning it off worked in terms of rise to wake… hopefully when I go to bed tonight it will be dark again.
