Re: Suunto Smart Sensor HR Monitor No Longer Pairing

Hi, Just downloaded the Suunto app for Android and tried to connect it to my Suunto sensor (a HR belt) from some years ago (and other phone). Android Bluetooth finds the sensor and connects, however, the Suunto app doesn’t find it for pairing and only lists wrist devices. Should I be using some other app or is today’s Suunto app (v.4.92.5) oblivious of the HR belt sensor? Thank you for feedback.

@Christophe-Roos I can confirm your observation: I have a Suunto watch and when it ran out of battery once, I thought I use the Smart Sensor belt on its own, with the app (this is possible with the Polar belt and the Polar Beat app). The app offers to record an exercise, but one cannot couple sensors to the app. You definitely need a Suunto watch between the app and the Smart Sensor.

@Mauerwegler Hey guys, late response, but could help others as the app and docs aren’t intuitive. To pair the sensor, go to the app settings, then go to Activity & training, and click Pair HR sensor.
          Hope it helps.

I don’t know why it’s not located with the pair device button on the home screen. I also searched for quite some time…
