@laganini to keep track of the no-fly-time keep the watch powered
-
@laganini this is a relevant problem that must be fixed.
-
@diogao13 Just to understand. Why would you power off the watch? It already has superb bat.
-
@EzioAuditore the point is not the battery. Why an error cannot be fixed? Why the user shall circumvent a problem keeping the power on?
We cannot predict the conditions. This watch will be used in a lot of situations. For any reason the user may need to save battery, but this problem will not allow it.
-
@diogao13 The watch does not work in background while powered off (you have to even sync to get the correct time). My assumption is that because of this (no time keeping) it cannot keep other metrics too. In the past Suunto watches didn’t offer power off. I guess now it is there to really power it off and store in for long time without damaging the bat?!

@EzioAuditore Thank you for your reply.
It still easy to solve. Smartwatches usually use a solution. For example, the system stores the counter when powered-off. As soon as it is turned-on it calculates the difference.
-
@diogao13 Yes, but as I said the watch looses the time (this is used to compute how long you should not fly). If the time is lost the loading of the metric is pointless, no?
-
@EzioAuditore only if it lost forever. When the watch sync and gets time again, it will calculate. If the calculated time is within the no fly time, the counter will be displayed. Otherwise a message of exceeded time or nothing is displayed.
-
@diogao13 Than I suggest to add this as a feature suggest so the dev may consider it. I think there are different posts asking for backup of data. So when (and if) developed this might be a part of the data to be stored and re-stored.
-
@EzioAuditore being sincere, it should not be a feature. It should be automatic every time no fly time is running for additional safety of the diver.
It should be a fix or an upgrade of the current no fly time feature.
